MARCIS er et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom forskningsinstitusjoner, industri og forvaltningsmyndigheter som vil bidra til en økosystembasert forvaltning av marine havområder, og gi et beslutningsverktøy som balanserer nærings- og miljøinteresser i planleggingsprosessene.

Arnaud Tarroux (NINA)

Quantitative ecologist with a focus on animal movement ecology (foraging, migration, habitat use, movement modelling), particularly in seabirds.

Roel May (NINA)

Leader WP 2

Spatial ecologist with a research interest within the interface between science and conservation; and centred on impacts and mitigation of renewable energy on wildlife as well as sustainable landscapes.

Anna Nilsson (NINA)

Co-leader WP 2

Focus on research questions related to avian ecology, primarily environmental and anthropogenic effects on birds, and have a special interest in variation in bird migration strategies.

Signe Christensen-Dalsgaard (NINA)

Leader WP 3

Seabird ecologist with a background in movement ecology, marine spatial management and impact of anthropogenic activities on seabirds.

Elizabeth Masden (UHI)

Leader WP 3

Ecologist focusing on the impacts of anthropogenic activities on bird populations. Interests include the use of biotelemetry to record avian behaviour and movement patterns

Arne Myhrvold

Steering committee and WP 6

Marine biologist and Senior Advisor for Sustainability with extensive experience from more than 20 years in Equinor. Has supported projects assessing environmental challenges and mitigating measures to reduce potential environmental impacts in Norway and abroad.

Ecotoxicologist with more than 20 years experience related to environmental topics in governmental administration, research and in industry: primarily oil and gas business.

Leading engineer in Equinor working with environmental risk and oil spill response across the company.  Background in ecotoxicology research and consultancy.

Francis Daunt

Animal population ecologist and Group Leader of the Coastal Seas Ecology Group at CEH leading the long term study of seabird populations on the Isle of May. His research aims to link ecology, life history variation and demography to understand the drivers of change in seabird populations.

Kate Searle

Ecological modeller working on understanding the consequences of offshore renewable energy developments on seabird behaviour and populations, as well as how extrinsic and intrinsic processes drive the distribution, abundance and population dynamics of seabird species.

Charlotte Regan

Animal population ecologist focused on understanding the effects of environmental change on individual behaviour and fitness, and consequently on population dynamics.

Microbiologist with over 20 years of experience working with assessing environmental impacts of offshore oil and gas and more recently offshore renewables activities. Has the last 10 years worked for TotalEnergies RD on environmental and decarbonization topics.
