By the end of March, winter finally came to an end and we opened the gates of the adaptation enclosure. However, the kulan did not leave their home for the last 5 months, but needed some convincing. On 3 April 2018, the 9 kulan left the enclosure as one group and are now roaming freely on the Torgai steppe. GPS-satellite collars allow us to track the movements of the adult animals and rangers will additionally check the animals on the ground.
