Knowledge areas
I work in the intersection between landscape ecology and movement ecology. I am interested in understanding how landscape changes derived from land use change, industrial development, and anthropogenic activities affect biodiversity and ecological processes, and how interactions between species in turn affect their surrounding environment.
I dedicate my research efforts to (1) understand changes in ecological processes, (2) develop methods to assess these changes, and (3) provide knowledge for conservation and restoration actions.
Interests: landscape ecology, animal movement, spatial planning, landscape resilience and restoration, ecological interactions, seed dispersal, mathematical models, cumulative impacts.
