Key qualifications
Research and education on application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geographic visualization, particularly for studies on the effects of climate change, making spatio-temporal indicators representing climate risks, disaggregated studies on civil armed conflicts, urban planning, and education.

Experience
About 30 years of teaching experience from all levels (bachelor, master, PhD, and post-qualifying). Have given PhD courses in GIS in Trondheim and in five European universities. Have supervised 49 master students and 11 PhD candidates. One of NTNU’s distinguished educators (“Merittert underviser”).
