Resarch Director Signe Nybø is leading the group "Sustainable use of ecosystems" within the Terrestrial Department. She is NINAs entry contact point for environmental issues related to wind powerplants and powerlines, ecosystem services, restoration and nature index.

She is Chair of the Expert Commission for Good Ecological Status in Natural Ecosystems.
